Il corso sarà tenuto da Girardi Matteo, DipWSET, MW student, giudice in due concorsi Internazionali a Londra (International Wine Challenge e International Wine Spirits Competition) e VDP Ambassador.

Who can participate?

An advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts.
To partecipate is fundamental to have the Level 2 Certification or an equivalent knowledge
The level 3 is requested to do the level 4 (Diploma WSET)

Unit 1 is assessed by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions and a short-written answer paper.
Unit 2

How to taste wines, describe their characteristics and evaluate their quality, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
Durante il corso verranno degustati vini provenienti dalle principali regioni vinicole di tutto il mondo, creando un portfolio di appunti di degustazione durante le ore di lezione.

Final exam

Per conseguire il certificato gli studenti a fine corso dovranno superare un test a risposta multipla di 50 domande e 4 domande a risposta aperta (2h di tempo). Inoltre dovranno sostenere una degustazione alla cieca con due vini da descrivere seguendo l’approccio sistematico alla degustazione del terzo livello (30′ di tempo).

Results are graded as follows:

80% e oltre delle risposte corrette e nessun esame (teoria and tasting) sotto il 65% – Pass with Distinction
Risposte corrette tra 65% e 79%. – Pass with Merit
Risposte corrette tra 55% e 64% – Pass
Risposte corrette tra 45% e 54% – Fail
44% e meno – Fail unclassified

Registration and requirements

Candidates applying to sit the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines examination must be over the legal minimum age (18 years old)

The fee for an individual course must be paid before the start of the course
Il costo include cinque giornate di lezione e esame finale al sesto giorno, la guida allo studio WSET fornita agli studenti prima dell’inizio del corso, ebook (non stampabile e consultabile solo online) oppure libro di testo cartaceo, tasting di più di 70 vini diversi sia per tipo che per provenienza e tasse per accedere all’esame.

On successful completion of the examination you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
